Gov's Corner
We've experienced problems with the AC and the Walk-in Cooler this month. These two break downs cost us around $2,000.00. Hopefully this will be the end of the breaksowns for awhile. Thanks to Zeb for bird-dogging with Comfort Consultants on getting these repairs done.
Sharon Reed is experiencing some health problems and won't be bar tending for awhile. Thank you Sharon for your service and hope you feel better soon.
Colonial Beach came down and beat us at horseshoes, but everyone had a good time. The fish fry went well. Thanks to Zeb and Peggy for the fish and Dickie and Jeny for the coleslaw and cakes. Thanks to Peggy, Carolyn and Zeb for the kitchen work and John and Teresa for the social quarters work. Mike Krisman donated a bushel of crabs which were raffled. Thanks Mike! Mike King and Randolph worked hard coordinating and setting everythin up. Altogether it was a very successful day!
We have a lot of activities planned for the nex several months. Please check your calendar and come on out and participate. To name a few: Turkey Shoot, Fishing Tournament, Dart Tournaments, Bowling Tournaments, Yard Sale, Roast Beef booth ath the Montross Fall Festival and a Prime Rib Dinner.
As always we need to thank everyone who works hard to support our lodge and keep us running

Help Mooseheart School win $500,000!!!
A Few Mouse Clicks Mean $500,000 to Mooseheart School ... or Not.

If, by just clicking a computer mouse a few times over five to ten minutes, you could send a HALF-MILLION DOLLARS to help Mooseheart's kids, you'd do it -- wouldn't you?

We sure hope so.

Thanks to Kohl's department stores, that's the opportunity we Moose members have!

Between now and Friday evening, September 3, by just "voting" for Mooseheart School as your "favorite school" on the "Kohl's Cares" page on Facebook, we Moose members can get that $500,000 from Kohl's Cares Foundation for Mooseheart School!

That's $500,000 we then WON'T need to ask from the men and women of the Moose to help operate Mooseheart's school this year!

If you have a Facebook account (easy to set up), if you're 13 or older, and you're a U.S. resident -- just go to http://apps.facebook.com/KohlsCares, follow the directions to vote the maximum allowed FIVE (5) times for Mooseheart School -- and that's all there is to it!

Please ask your spouse, your family and all your friends to do the same!

If Mooseheart School finishes among the top 20 schools in nationwide voting, we'll receive a Kohl's Cares check, payable to Mooseheart School, in the amount of $500,000!

It costs you $0 -- just a few minutes of your time! What an easy way to fulfill our membership obligation to "support Mooseheart with my energy and substance"!

PLEASE don't let this opportunity pass us by! Your Mooseheart students need you to vote, NOW!

Warm fraternal regards,
William B. Airey (Director General) and Scott Hart (Executive Director)
